Privacy Policy

HireVed is a recruitment agency based in Bengaluru, India. This policy explains what personal data we collect through hireved.com and app.hireved.com, why, and the choices you have. Questions go to contact@hireved.com.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, whether you are an employer or a candidate, and your company name if you are an employer.
- Password: if you sign up with email, we store only a one-way hash of your password, never the password itself.
- Google sign-in: if you choose "Continue with Google", Google shares your name, email address, profile photo and a Google account identifier with us. We do not receive your Google password or access to your Gmail, Drive, contacts or any other Google data.
- What you send us: hiring briefs, CVs and messages you email to contact@hireved.com.
- Technical data: session cookies that keep you logged in, and standard server logs such as IP address and browser type, used for security.
How we use it
- To create and secure your account and sign you in.
- For employers: to understand your hiring needs and send you shortlisted candidates.
- For candidates: to match you with roles, and to share your profile with an employer only for a specific role you have been considered for.
- To reply to your messages and send service emails about your account or searches.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising. Data from Google sign-in is used only to create and sign in to your HireVed account, in line with Google's API Services User Data Policy.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the service providers that run HireVed: Render (application hosting and database), Vercel (website hosting), Google Workspace (email) and Google Fonts (the typefaces on our pages, which your browser loads from Google). They process data on our behalf and are not allowed to use it for their own purposes. Candidate profiles are shared with an employer only in connection with a role. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
Where it is stored and for how long
Account data is stored with our hosting providers, which may be outside India. We keep your account data while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete it within 30 days, except where we must keep records to meet a legal obligation, such as invoices.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies: a session cookie that keeps you logged in, and a companion cookie that proves it has not been tampered with. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw consent, by emailing contact@hireved.com. You can also remove HireVed's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account settings under Security, then Third-party apps. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can raise it with us first, and you may also have the right to complain to the relevant data protection authority, including the Data Protection Board of India.
Security
Traffic is encrypted with HTTPS, passwords are hashed, and access to our database is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell account holders by email.
